Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat (13/06)

Sat, 11/06/2011 - 13:16 | SportsIQ

Dallas Mavericks +7.5           @$1.75            9/10

Wow. In a series which has been very tight, in many low scoring encounters, a line like this is unreal. Surprisingly this might be the the best bet we have put up, but you would think it such a crucial match it seems ridiculous..but let me point out why.

1) On the back of the highest scoring game of the series, you can blame Miami's D for letting Dallas score 112 points. Sure they shot great, but they got so many open looks. They will lock down the game and we should be in for a nervous, low scoring encounter

2) Dallas have nothing to lose and could end it here. They have looked dominant over the past few games, and they are stroking their stroke. Their ball movement on offense looks way better than Miami's. Miami look lethal only on the fast break and struggle to get it down through movement. They take many buzzer beater shots, and it will take something remarkable from them to win by 8 points +

3) Dallas have no pressure. Think as this as their opportunity to shoot for the win. They won't hold back, and they will just shoot. Everyone will expect this game to go to 7 and Miami to get it done. This is where Dallas is at their best.

4) Sickness clouds for Miami stars? So we all saw that Dirk was sick, but rumour has it some of the Miami 'stars' could have a bug. This shouldn't be something that you rely heavily on, but you never know it could have an impact

5) Last of all, this match will be a grudge, possension for possesion, bucket for bucket. I wouldnt expect any team to really blow out the other side.

Adelaide Crows vs. West Coast Eagles (11/06)

Sat, 11/06/2011 - 12:51 | SportsIQ

West Coast Eagles -5.5           @$1.72              8/10

Adelaide looks horrid and West Coast have been a big surprise this year. West Coast are sittting comfortably in the 8 (on 6 wins), whereas Adelaide have only managed to win half those matches (3). Josh Kenedy is flying ATM and Dean Cox is arguably the most influential player of recent weeks. Daniel Kerr returns for an Eagles win down south.

Andy Murray vs. Andy Roddick (11/06)

Sat, 11/06/2011 - 12:46 | SportsIQ

Andy Murray -2 games             @$1.93                 7/10

Andy Murray will be too much class for Roddick on his home court. Roddick as only recently returned form injury, and has appeared to have beaten some quality opponents, but really they are just in very poor form (like Fernando Verdasco). Murray has heavier ground strokes and is more consistant than Roddick. If they trade backhand rallies, Murray will dominate. Home court, better player, good bet.

Rafael Nadal (ESP) - Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) (11/06)

Fri, 10/06/2011 - 07:21 | SportsIQ

Rafael Nadal  -3.5 games             @$1.85           8/10

Rafael Nadal just took down one of the biggest tournaments in history. With arguably the 3 best players together in any modern era, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, Nadal was able to outlast them all and win the French Open title yet again. Moving into Wimbledon he needs to get his grass court season going as soon as possible, therefore this match is a crucial win for him. You know Rafa will always go out there to win, even if he is tired. Tsonga has the fire-power to compete, if not defeat the Spaniard, yet Rafa's speed, consistancy and heavy top spin will be too much class for Jo-Wilfried

R. Haase/M. Raonic - L. Hewitt/P. Luczak (11/06)

Fri, 10/06/2011 - 07:16 | SportsIQ

R. Haase/M. Raonic         @$1.70              8/10

Big servers go far and always compete in doubles. Both Robin and Milos have huge servers and huge games, and they're only competing against Hewitt and Luczac, both who role the ball in and do not get to the net much in their singles matches. Expect Robin and Milos to get easy games on serve and have many opportunities and good looks in to a break of serve.

Jeremy Chardy vs. Karol Beck (10/06)

Fri, 10/06/2011 - 07:11 | SportsIQ

Jeremy Chardy                @$1.50                  9/10

So Karol Beck decides to venture out onto the grass courts hey? There's no real need to justfy this one, as Karol Beck is a medicre player. Whilst Chardy may not be flash hot himself, he does have a solid forehand and backhand. The main reasoning behind this is that I do not like Andreas Beck, or the band Beck, but after this leg I will be sipping on Becks.

Ivan Ljubicic vs Radek Stepanek (09/06)

Wed, 08/06/2011 - 23:42 | timrosen35

Ljubicic         $1.93           8/10

Really like Ljubicic to win here, as he is not only in better form than Stepanek, but is far more consistent and less up and down with his performances. I rate him as the favourite in this match up, and therefore with odds like this I have to take him, despite the fact he is 137 years old.

Yaroslava Shvedova vs Marina Erakovic (08/06)

Wed, 08/06/2011 - 21:18 | SportsIQ

Shvedova     @  $2.40     7/10
I like Shvedova and definitely rate her as a better player than Erakovic. These odds seem amazingly high, which is because Shvedova has lost 4 of her last 6, while Erakovic has won 5 of her last 6. The thing is, in this span Shvedova has played Pavlyuchenkova, A. Radwanska, Vinci and Rodionova while Erakovic has played the likes of Vorakova, Cetkovska, Nara, Tomljanovic and Rus. Shvedova is a class above the Kiwi, and despite form against her she should be too strong in this one.

Ivo Karlovic vs. Kevin Anderson (08/06)

Tue, 07/06/2011 - 14:56 | timrosen35

Karlovic          $1.57             7/10
Karlovic plays best on grass, and has been quite good all year and I think will just be too strong for Anderson here. It will very possibly be tie breaker sets, so the over 24 total games line is also a good bet. (But it is at $1.60, and too short, therefore I think Karlovic straight out is the better bet of the 2)

Blaz Kavcic vs. Janko Tipsarevic (07/06)

Tue, 07/06/2011 - 14:52 | SportsIQ

Kavcic +4.5 games         $2.20          6/10

I feel the line is way too big here in a best of 3 set match. Kavcic has had some good results this year winning first round matches at both grand slam tournaments, and pushing Youzhney is the second round of the Australia. He is much improved and will be much tougher for Tipsarevic than the odds suggest. Not sure why Tipsarevic -4.5 has been backed in so heavily.
