Andy Roddick vs. Feliciano Lopez (07/06)

Tue, 07/06/2011 - 14:39 | SportsIQ

Andy Roddick         $1.55          8/10

Andy Roddick hasn't played for a while, but has proven time and time again that he is a force on the grass. I just can't see him losing here against Lopez even first up and those odds are too big not to take. The -2 @ $1.85 is also worth a look, but I am just taking the win in case it takes him a bit of time to get going.

Daniel Gimeno-Traver vs. Andrey Golubev (07/06)

Tue, 07/06/2011 - 14:34 | SportsIQ

Gimeno Traver        $2.50        6/10

I think Golubev is the better player here when he's at his best, but I can't remember the last time Andrey even won a game! (I looked through results and found it was March 10th, which means he is on a 9 game losing streak) The only thing to take into account is that it has been through the hardcourt and clay season, and grass is a totally different scenario. Gimeno-Traver is definitely not suited to grass, but winning form is good form and he had a couple of solid victories against Gasquet and Melzer last month.

Robert Harting : Men's Discus at Eugene Diamond League (04/06)

Tue, 07/06/2011 - 14:29 | timrosen35

Robert Harting        @$1.90        9/10

This is a hot tip given to me by one of Australia's best throwers Dale Stevenson. He believes Harting should be around $1.20 and can't lose. He has the World leading mark for the year so far, and is metres clear of the next best in the field.

Na Li vs. Francesca Schiavone (04/06)

Sat, 04/06/2011 - 21:23 | SportsIQ

Na Li            @$1.85             6/10
Na Li looks unstoppable with a very impressive quater-final victory over Victoria Azarenka and then a win agasint Maria Sharapova in the semi. Schiavone may be the reigning champion but Li's consistancy should give her the edge in this one. Schiavone's weakness - her backhand - will be exploited in cross court rallies and Li will take full advantage of piling on the pressure on the weak slice backhands Schiavone puts back into play.

Roger Federer vs. Novak Djokovic - two bet special (04/06)

Fri, 03/06/2011 - 20:47 | SportsIQ

Roger Federer +6.5 games                             @$1.85            8/10
Roger Federer has looked the better of the two in the French Open so far. Federer is yet to drop a set and has beaten some very good players on his way to the semi's such as Lopez, Tipsarevic, Wawrinka, Gasquet and Monfils (who beat David Ferrer). Novak has not lost a game in 2011 with his record sitting at 41-0, yet has had a disrupted French Open with getting through one match with a retired hurt and getting a walk over in the quarters against Foggers. He is yet to be tested, and could struggle to pick up the pace of Federer's shot, especially after having a 6 day break. It is clear that both players are at the top of the game. Neither player will wipe the other off the court, and giving Federer over a set in games is very good. The scoreline could be 6-4 6-4 7-5 Djokovic's way and the bet clears.

Games total in match over 36.5 games             @1.70             8/10
For similar reasons to the above, based on the form, class and serves of both players, this match should go over the line. I would expect there to be some very toughly fought sets going close to (if not in to) tiebreaks. Novak is playing for the world number one spot and if he gets past Roger he will clinch it (even if Nadal wins), also to continue his 41 match winning streak. Roger is flying massively under the radar, it seems all the attention is on Nadal and Djokovic, which is very unusual for him - but makes him deadly. Both players have the experience to hold serve in crucial times, and the fire power behind them to get some cheap points. Again, even if this match is over in straight sets (unlikely) this can even clear the line with a scoreline such as 7-5, 7-5, 7-6.

Essendon vs. Melbourne (03/06)

Fri, 03/06/2011 - 15:11 | SportsIQ

Melbourne +30.5                @$1.66               7/10

With the return of both Trengove and Scully Melbourne's midfield is significantly improved. Meanwhile, Jobe Watson still sits on the sidelines for Essendon and their performance against Richmond without him was forgettable. Giving Melbourne a 5 goal headstart in this one looks good and putting on them for the win @ $4.10 could be worth the look.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova vs Francesca Schiavone (31/05)

Tue, 31/05/2011 - 23:17 | SportsIQ

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova + 3 games  @ $1.75       8/10
Great value for Pavlyuchenkova here. Let's disregard the fact that Schiavone is the defending champion for a second. Schiavone played one of her best fortnights of tennis of her career last year when she took the title, but based on current form, if anything Pavlyuchenko comes out slightly ahead. After impressive wins in the lead up tournament in Madrid where she defeated Bartoli and Stosur quite comfortably, her form so far at Roland Garros has been impressive, defeating Vera Zvonareva in the fourth round. She's a player on the rise and has a decent chance of knocking off the defending champ. I'll like the win, but a three game line makes this a safe bet.

Juan Monaco vs. Fernando Verdasco (24/5)

Tue, 24/05/2011 - 20:56 | timrosen35

Juan Monaco       @ $2.44         8/10
Love this bet! Verdasco is favourite due to his world ranking, and the reputation he has previously built, yet Monaco is both a better clay courter, and has a 5-0 head to head on clay against Verdasco. This is ripping value.

Ivan Dodig vs. Pere Riba (22/5)

Sun, 22/05/2011 - 19:02 | timrosen35

Ivan Dodig       @ $2.14         8/10
I am slightly confused by these odds here! Despite Dodig struggling in his last match up against Petzchner, he made the semi final in Barcelona last month on clay, beating opponents such as Soderling, Lopez and Raonic. Riba on the other hand has only beaten a couple of average opponents in the past month, and lost quite easily in matches against Tsonga, Cuevas and Andreev. I also would say that Dodig is a better player in general. He also has a better win loss ratio on clay than Riba.

David Ferrer vs. Alexandr Dolgopolov (19/05)

Thu, 19/05/2011 - 18:07 | SportsIQ

Alexandr Dolgopolov +6.5                @$1.80                8/10

There's no doubting the reasons why Ferrer is so short in this match, he is always consistant and is dominating the circuit at the moment. The reason why Dolgopolov should compete and clear this very generous line is the fact that Ferrer will have to break him roughly 4 times to win by -6.5 games. I highly doubt Dolgopolov will drop this many games on serve due to the high number of aces he belts down. Wouldn't be too surprise if Dolgopolov takes one of the sets to a tie breaker.
